Praise for this book
I am close to halfway through this book which I found by searching for breath and energetics. It is a brilliant, simple and gentle way to learn of the power of our breath. It is told in a story form giving us the journey of a highly stressed executive. Virtually everyone in the modern world can relate to this woman who reaches a point in her life where she is drawn to discover more about herself. She reluctantly realizes that her path up until now is no longer serving her. I can more than related to this. The breath is a gentle yet powerful way into knowing ourselves better and being the person we know deep down we wish to be.
The book is practical and spiritual in equal measure. It begins with the medical science and moves deeper at a consistent pace. I am just entering into the part of the book exploring techniques. The book is not trying to sell anything, but the knowledge and power of our breath, the one thing we do every moment of our days. Even if there was nothing left to learn in this book I would be overjoyed to have learned what I already have. Perhaps reminded is a better word than simply learning - both then. I do have no doubt that I will learn much more in the technique sections.
I can highly recommend this book and complements to the author for her clear and wise writing, and her observations and experiences. Our breath is indeed a doorway into a much easier and happier life. I am sold on that now. This book is meant to inspire us to experience and witness ourselves through our breath. Mission accomplished. Bravo!
